Albert Henry Kunde (Al)3, born August Heinrich Kunde on May 26, 1901 near Wadena, Wadena County, Minnesota, the son of Albert Edward Kunde2 and Helena R. (Hunke) Kunde2.

He lived in Fresno in 1922. It was during that year, when his father died, that he changed his name to Albert Henry Kunde.

Albert married (first), June 2, 1923 in —, Veda Lucille Inman. She was born born August 9, 1904 in Golden City, Barton County, Missouri, the daughter of James Hughes Inman and Nancy Malinda (Faubion) Inman.

Children:

  1. Albert Paul Kunde (Bert), born February 9, 1925 in Yuba City, Sutter County, California.
In 1925 Albert and Veda resided at 200 Wilbur Avenue, Yuba City. Albert's occupation was given as laborer.

In 1927 Albert resided at 448 Plumas, Yuba City. His occupation was given as laborer.

Al and Veda moved to the state of Washington before 1930. In that year they and their son Bert were residing in the household of Veda's brother James F. Grey at 335 N. 74, Seattle, King County, Washington.

Albert married (second), October 12, 1938 in Seattle, King County, Washington, Frances Elizabeth Knos. Frances was born Frances Elizabeth Meharry May 1, 1907 in Oelwein, Fayette County, Iowa, the daughter of Jack Meharry and Eda (Wetherbee) Meharry. She was adopted by Christian Knos and Helen (Schneider) Knos after her mother died. She received her teaching certificate from Upper Iowa University in Fayette, Iowa, and taught primary school in Oelwein for seven years. Afterwards she moved to Seattle to be near her sister, and worked in a West Seattle hospital. She met her future husband there. The Kundes are said to have moved back to California shortly after their marriage, though Albert was still living in Seattle at the time of his mother's death in January, 1941.

Between 1941 and 1943 the Kundes moved to a house at 4116 Santa Rita Street, Oakland, California, where they lived through at least 1969. Albert's occupation was given as contractor in 1943. Elsewhere he is described as being a life-time painting contractor. Frances worked in the shipyards during World War II and ran a flop house for servicemen and others.

Al was of Oakland in 1955, when his brother Otto died.

In the 1967 Oakland directory a certain Anton Kunde is shown as living with Albert and Frances, but this appears to an erroneous entry. In 1969 Albert's occupation was given as retired.

Albert’s last residence was in Oakland, Alameda County, California. He died April 11, 1970 in Oakland, Alameda County, California, at sixty-eight years of age. He was buried at Sutter Cemetery, Sutter, California.

After Al's death his widow Frances lived with relatives for a time, then settled at the Eden Lodge Retirement Apartments in San Leandro, California, where she lived until she was almost ninety. Her last residence was in Walnut Creek, Contra Costa County, California. She died December 29, 1997 in —, Contra Costa County, California, at ninety years of age. She was buried with her husband at Sutter Cemetery, Sutter, California. Their grave bears a marker with the following inscription:

Appendix.

Veda L. (Inman) Kunde lived in Seattle with her son Bert at 451 Harvard Avenue, Seattle, Washington in 1940.

Veda was living in King County, Washington in 1942. She married (second), November 30, 1942 in Vancouver, Clark County, Washington, Lucien Herbert Towne of Multnomah County, Oregon. He was born May 21, 1896 in Dungeness, Clallam County, Washington, the son of Herbert M— Towne and Kate C— (—) Towne. He served as a private in the U.S. Army during World War I. His social security card was issued in Washington. Lucien had married (first), December 1, 1921 in Seattle, King County, Washington, Beatrice A— Howell.

Veda Towne died September 17, 1951, aged 47, in Sequim, Clallam County, Washington. Interment was in Dungeness Cemetery, Sequim, Clallam County, Washington. Her grave bears a marker with the following inscription:

Lucien Towne died August 15, 1973, aged 77. His last address was Sequim, Clallam County, Washington. Interment was in Dungeness Cemetery, Sequim, Clallam County, Washington. His grave bears a marker with the following inscription:
