My research is focused on the interpretation of flow rate – pressure – temperature (q-p-T) data from Permanent Downhole Gauges (PDGs). The idea is to develop the algorithm to describe the pattern between q-p-T data, which contains the reservoir information implicitly. By inputting a simple flow rate history into the algorithm and asking for p-T prediction, we are able to extract the reservoir parameters as conventional well testing. This method helps us to utilize PDGs data to estimate reservoir parameters without additional operations, e.g. shut in the wells.
