On Saturdays and Sundays, parking is unresrticted on the Stanford campus. (But it is prudent to read relavent signs and postings.) On Friday July 6th, participants should look for visitor parking which can be paid for by the hour or the day. Information about how to find and pay for visitor parking can be found here. Please note that on the parking map, visitor pay parking is marked by yellow squares with green symbols. Some lots have time limits on parking (2 or 4 hours). If you use one of these lots you will have to move your vehicle and repay during the day.

Lodging

We have reserved a small block of rooms for conference participants at the Cardinal Hotel, 235 Hamilton Ave Palo Alto, CA 94301 (1-650-323-5101). You may book one of those rooms here. There are other hotels within easy walking distance to the Stanford campus (the Sheraton and the Stanford Terrace Inn for example). Participants are encouraged to consult Airbnb or a similar site for less expensive choices.

Another possibility is the Creekside Inn, south of the campus on El Camino Real. It is a long walk to the campus. There are regular public buses (Line 22) that run along El Camino to the Palo Alto transit center which is a 15-minute walk from the mathematics department. Along this route are several basic hotels (Comfort Inn, Travelodge, Stanford Motor Inn, and others).
