Homework:
1. Meeting. Review the video of your introduction. If you have other writing, be sure to send that ahead.
2. Write the answers to the exercises in Lesson 9: (9.1) 2, 6, 12; (9.3) 4
3. Finding presentation techniques to copy: do the following.
1) Find an example of a speaker online (www.ted.com; http://ecorner.stanford.edu; other) who has one or more characteristics you would like to incorporate into your own speaking.
2) Come prepared next week to present and discuss your example, explaining the element(s) that you find worthy of emulating (send me the URL of the clip by Monday at 8:00 pm). Phil's example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLkC7ralR30
3) Then, take a 1-2 minute selection from any previous talk in which you demonstrate one or two techniques or stylistic points picked up from that speaker.
