Welcome to my home page. My name is Ping Liu, and I am currently Senior Software Developer - Research with Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Lightsource (SSRL), part of the SLAC National Laboratory. This is my personal web site.

My Association with Stanford

I was a PhD student in the Department of Geological and Environmental Sciences at Stanford from 1992 to 1997, when I was awarded the PhD degree (major in Geological and Environmental Sciences and minor in Materials Science and Engineering). Then I stayed on as a postdoctoral student for one year. After some years at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab and in the industry around the San Francisco Bay area, I returned to Stanford in 2004 as a Senior Software Developer - Research.
