Course Requirements

Homework: There will be approximately weekly homework sets. Homeworks will be due at 11:59pm on Thursdays.

Lecture Scribes: Every Student will be responsible for one lecture scribe (to be done in groups of 4-5 students). The lecture scribes are due in 48 hours, to facilitate prompt access to the notes.

Grading guideline: Scribes 10%, Homework 20%, Midterm 30%, Final 40%

Course Prerequisites

A solid first (undergraduate) course in probability, as well as the maturity and motivation to cope with concepts that may be more abstract than you have previously encountered. Having already taken a second course that builds on and uses probabilistic concepts and tools is recommended but not a requirement.
