Acoustic guitars are the standard for guitars.Today,this guitar is used all over the world. Acoustic guitars have changed over the space of time. Thier history dates back almost to the 1700s! Here is a list of cool facts you probaly didn't know about acoustic guitars:
- Acoustic guitar is also known as Dreadnaught guitar, folk guitar, flat-top guitar or steel string guitar.
- During the MIddle Ages, gitter or the word gitter was used in England. Both guitarra and gitter came form the Latin word cithara
- Acoustic guitar generate sound acoustically, by transferring the string's vibration to air through it's brige and saddle.
- Acoustic guitars usually have 12 strings, but some cultures 12 strings or 13 are much more common.
- Acoustic guitars in the older days was mostly used for rythem and was rarly used as a lead instrument.
