Policies and Procedures
This page is where we will try to explain the administrative aspects of the course requirements and our expectations of you. Let us know if you find an issue that we have overlooked that you think would be of general interest to the class.
- What is the course policy on collaboration?
In general, what you submit for grading is expected to be your original work. Refer to our collaboration policy for more information on what we do and don't consider acceptable. The Stanford Honor Code is taken quite seriously in this course and all violations will be handled through the Office of Community Standards. - Can/Should I work with a partner on the programming projects?
No, all work in this course is individual. - How do we submit assignments?
Homework submissions will be handled through Canvas. - Where can I get the video recordings of lectures?
Recordings will be posted on Canvas on the day of the lecture. - What about late assignments?
- We will not accept any submissions after two days past each deadline.
- You have two late days in total for the quarter.
- Your late days will be used automatically whenever your submission is late.
- When you are out of late days, each of your subsequent late submissions will be penalized by 20%.
- How are assignments graded?
The assignments are evaluated mostly on correctness using automated testing scripts. - What about regrades?
We will accept regrade requests for one week after grades for an assignment or exam are released. We may need to set a shorter window for regrades of the last assignment and the final. - How could I contact course staff?
- For questions about course material or policies that other students might benefit from, use Ed.
- For questions about grades, etc. that shouldn't be public but can be handled by anyone on the course staff, email the whole staff here.
- For other questions or concerns, email a staff member directly using the email on the Meet the staff page.
