"Medieval
Women: Faith, Love and Learning" is an umbrella title
for three separate but interlocking elements: an undergraduate
lecture course, a graduate colloquium, and a speaker series
that links them. The speaker series, held during the undergraduate
lecture course, brings together five of the most influential
and exciting scholars in the field of medieval women's studies
and is open to the public, as well as playing a central role
in both the undergraduate and graduate course. All three--speaker
series, undergraduate lecture, and graduate colloquium--are
dedicated to exploring the major roles that women played in
responding to--and indeed, shaping--medieval culture and society.
