12: OAP Presentations and Team Workshop

At the beginning of this session you will present your OAPs. 

Then we will work through a process to improve the functioning of your team.  We will learn about group dynamics and how to improve the functioning of teams and groups that you find yourself in, both during your educational experience and in your career.

Study Questions (Policy on Study Questions.)

  • In class, we will do a "with respect to my team, I like ... and I wish ..." exercise to measure and improve your team's performance. Please review this sheet by noted author Jim Collins for some ideas on how great teams operate and give some thought to this before coming to class.  Which of the 11 items on the sheet is your team doing well and could have a rating of 4 or 5 (in other words, "I like" items)?  Which of the 11 items on the sheet could the team do better at and could have a rating of 1 or 2 (in other words, the "I wish" items)?
  • Browse your classmates' team websites to remind yourself of the various concepts and opportunities from other teams in the course.
