Impact is imparting the power of knowledge, not simply the knowledge itself.
Many of the most pressing problems facing humanity today involve Earth and its resources.
It is important that we educate students about the planet they live on, as well as how to sustain it
for their lifetime and future generations. Learn more about the courses I have taught as part
of the Know Your Planet series below.
Students discover the leading efforts to ask and answer critical questions about our planet.
From the geologic processes that shape our continents, to the origins of the

One of the most important ways to learn about the world is to test it.
This class takes students into cutting edge research laboratories to understand why observations in the lab
are at the heart of scientific discovery.
