Dorothy married, — –, 193–, Charles J— Gnerlich. He was born about 1911 in —, New York, the son of Charles A— Gnerlich and Marie H— (—) Gnerlich. Charles lived in Westwood, Bergen County, New Jersey in 1930 and 1935.

In 1940 Charles and Dorothy were living at 269 Saddle River Road, Saddle River Township, Bergen County, New Jersey. Charles was a clerk for an insurance company, and Dorothy a telephone operator.

Dorothy Gnerlich was living at 49 Chestnut Avenue, Chester, Morris County, New Jersey in 1947, when her great uncle Oscar Traudt died. They probably continued to reside there for the remainder of their married life.

Dorothy retired as an operator for New Jersey Bell Telephone Company in 1988.

Dorothy was a member of the Reformed Church and the American Legion Auxiliary, both in Closter, Bergen County, New Jersey.

Dorothy Gnerlich lived in Closter, New Jersey in 1992, when her sister Florence McIlwain died.

Dorothy lived in Jeffersonville, Clark County, Indiana in 1994. She died Saturday, June 18, 1994. Arrangements were conducted by Mortiz Funeral Home, Closter.
