In 1920 Harry was living with his parents in Hackensack, Bergen County, New Jersey. In 1930 he was living with his widowed mother and sisters Leona and Florence at 5 Prospect Avenue, Hackensack, Bergen County, New Jersey. Louis C. Fritz, later the husband of Leona, was living with the family as a boarder. Harry lived in Hackensack in 1935. In April 1940 Harry lived as a lodger with the family of Peter Haga at 1 West View Terrace, Teaneck Township, Bergen County, New Jersey. He was an office clerk in stocks and bonds, but was then seeking work, having been unemployed for three weeks at the time. Harry married, — –, 19–, Vera M— —. She was born September 11, 1920 in —, the daughter of — — and — (—) —. Harry served in the Navy during World War II, enlisting October 8, 1943 and released December 24, 1945. Harry was living at 148 North Lavonia Avenue, Rochelle Park, Bergen County, New Jersey in 1947, when his great uncle Oscar Traudt died. His Social Security card was issued in New Jersey. He later lived in Montvale and Hillsdale in Bergen County, New Jersey. He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Westwood, Bergen County, New Jersey, a past president of its Church Council, and a member of the board for the construction of Zion Lutheran School. He retired in 1978 from a position as a supplies supervisor for New Jersey Bell Telephone Company. Harry lived in Fort Myers, Lee County, Florida in 1992 and 1995. In 1993 the address for Harry L. Crowell and Vera M. Crowell was 11 Nagua Ct. #23, Fort Myers. Harry's last residence was in Fort Myers, Lee County, Florida. He died Wednesday, February 15, 1995, aged 76. Funeral arrangements were conducted by Becker Funeral Home, Westwood, New Jersey. |
