What I do
In addition to helping faculty and TAs with integrating technology into their teaching, I'm also sometimes a lecturer in the Structured Liberal Education (SLE) Program.
Academic Background
B.A., Physics and Literature, UC Santa Cruz; Ph.D., French, Yale University. My dissertation, entitled "Fables of Knowledge: Descartes and Seventeenth-Century Epistemological Fiction," focused on the relationship between Cartesian philosophy and early modern fiction. My research interests are in early modern literature and philosophy, the history of science, and existentialism.
Personal
I live in San Francisco, with my wife Carrie, who is an actress as well as co-founder of StageWrite. We spend our time cooking, eating, and reading Homer and Jane Austen out loud.
