The primary text for the course (this quarter as well as the Winter and Spring quarters) is:
Cahn, Stephen M., Classics of Western Philosophy (Hackett, 2007)
It should hopefully be available in the bookstore when registration begins.
Below are some texts for you to read before our first class. There may seems like a lot, but you'll find it is not very many pages. By August 25, we will post a PDF of all the first class readings, so that you can print them and read them offline if you wish. Check back if we haven't posted this yet!
