For each topic in the syllabus I will post a list of references.
The list will be updated during the quarter, so please keep an eye on it.
I will not cover all technical proofs/results contained in the references.
In some cases, I will state a result without presenting proof,
or I will skip that result.
In order to get credit for this class, you will be required to do one of the following
(We will share sign up sheets on canvas):
Give a 20 minutes presentation about a complement topic
Scribe one lecture.
Students presentations will be scheduled through the quarter.
Grades will be assigned on the basis of:
(i) Class attendance (required also during your colleagues presentations);
(ii) Presentation or scribing.
Presentations will take place on the following dates:
Thu, Oct 10
Thu, Nov 7
Thu, Dec 5
(Slots will be limited and be allocated on first-come first serve basis)
