My Research
Data Intelligence Lab @ HKU
I conducted research for my Undergraduate Research Fellowship Program and my Final Year Project in the Data Intelligence Lab @ HKU, under the supervision of Dr. Chao Huang, Department of Computer Science, HKU. I am proud to be in Dr. Huang's group, a very welcoming and brilliant research team.
My research focused on Graph Neural Networks and Recommender Systems. My work on simplified and powerful GCL paradigm has been accepted as a top-25% paper at ICLR 2023. Another work on theoretical formulation of GNNs' expressiveness in recommendation has been accepted at CIKM 2023.
HKU-TCL Joint Research Center for Artificial Intelligence
From June to December 2021, I was fortunate to be a research assistant at HKU-TCL Joint Research Center for Artificial Intelligence, supervised by Prof. Michael Ng, Department of Mathematics, HKU. Prof. Ng is really nice and always patient to help me. Our work was on cold-start user and item recommendation.
NOTE: Both of my supervisors Prof. Michael Ng and Dr. Chao Huang are members of the newly established HKU Musketeers Foundation Institute of Data Science. I am glad to have been connected to the IDS in unexpected ways :). I am also honored to be appointed as the MC for the AI and Big Data Research for Health Improvement Symposium held by IDS and Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacy in August 2022.
