The Stanford Linguistics department has free access to all LDC corpora. If you find an LDC corpus that you would like to use but we do not have it yet, contact the Corpus TA and he will order it for you. Also, even if the corpus (or corpus-software) that you are interested in is not available via LDC you may nevertheless contact the Corpus TA. There is a small amount of funds available for purchasing software and corpora that are of use to several people in the department.
Note for grad students: If you are thinking about purchasing a corpus for your own research (e.g. with your research funds), consider whether the corpus may be of use to other members of the department. It may be possible that the department will participate in the costs.
