Sample platform (or stage) is a device onto which a sample is mounted so that it can be measured or analyzed. The sample platform used in Philips MRD system is called open Eulerian cradle.
The
Eulerian cradle permits the sample to be tilted from the horizontal
plane to 5o beyond vertical. It also has
full 360o rotation.
