This past weekend, Superfly hosted the Stanford Invitational in Fremont. Using our legs, deep roster, and refined plays, we performed well throughout Saturday's pool play and showed up before the sun (daylight savings!) to battle it out in Sunday's bracket.
We took on Colorado Kali in the fog, then played UCLA in the semifinals, staying gritty and winning on double game point. In the finals, we played Oregon Fugue in a repeat of the President's Day Invite final. We battled it out all the way to the final point, when Fugue laid out for the score to win, 15-14.
Here is Ultiworld's recap of the finals game.
Believe in the green light!
This weekend, March 7-8, Superfly will be taking on teams on our own turf at the Stanford Invitational. Well, we'll actually be in Fremont, a short drive away, but regardless of location, we're pumped to be given a chance to see how we stack up from some of the best teams from around the country!
Ultiworld also has some coverage of the event. Check out their tournament preview for more information.
Let's go, Superfly!
Over the past weekend, Superfly flew down to San Diego to play at the Presidents' Day Invitational. Over the three days of tournament, we were able to play against challenging out-of-state teams like Washington and Colorado. We battled all the way to the finals, where we lost to Oregon, 15-11. Now we're headed back to practice, ready to work harder than ever!
While at the tournament, we had a great time bonding with our full team through board games, food, and of course the ultimate games. Check out the picture below to see us taking on some fried seafood.
