Fall 2007:
The Challenge of Socrates

The first quarter of this course began with the Presocratics, and moved forward in time to the first few centuries of the Common Era; we examined the major strands of thought in ancient Greek philosophy, and ended the quarter with some early Christian thinkers that drew on this Hellenistic tradition, incorporating it into a new framework built around the figure of Jesus.
