Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972

It is the policy of Stanford University to comply with Title IX of the Education Amendment of 1972 and its regulations, which prohibit unlawful discrimination on the basis of sex. The Title IX Compliance Officer is the Director of the Diversity and Access Office, who has been appointed to coordinate the University's efforts to comply with the law. Anyone who believes that Stanford is not in compliance with Title IX and its regulations should contact the Director of the Diversity and Access Office, Mariposa House, 585 Capistrano Way, Stanford, CA 94305-8230, (650) 723-0755 (voice), (650) 723-1216 (TTY), (650) 723-1791 (fax), equal.opportunity@stanford.edu (email). The Compliance Officer serves as a resource to provide accommodations and services to address the effects of sexual harassment and sexual violence. Grievance procedures to address complaints of discrimination on the basis of sex are set forth in the "Student Non-Academic Grievance Procedure".
