- Lecture 1, 2: Boundary conditions and well-posedness for time dependent PDE's. Scalar equations and systems, 1-, 2- and 3- spatial dimensions.
- Lecture 3: Non-reflecting boundary conditions.
- Lecture 4: Discretization of time-dependent PDE's: energy estimates, stability, accuracy. SBP operators.
- Lecture 5, 6: Implementation of boundary conditions, ghost points, penalty formulation. Boundary condtions for conservative schemes.
- Lecture 7, 8: Analysis of numerical errors (temporal and spatial errors, modified equation, dissipation and dispersion errors). How to measure convergence in computation.
- Lecture 9, 10: Non-rectangular domains: effects of non-regular grids, immersed boundary treatment.
- Lecture 11: Discretization of no-reflecting boundary conditions.
- Lecture 12: Summing up.
